     Ambergris Caye (pronounced 'key') is Belize's largest island.  Belize is known worldwide for its Caribbean blue sea - ideal conditions for all manner of watersports including sailing, fishing, snorkeling, and scuba diving.  Situated just a stone's throw from the island's eastern shore, the Belize Barrier Reef boasts notable snorkeling and dive sites such as the Hol Chan Marine Reserve, with an abundance of sea life.  Further afar near the center of Lighthouse Reef is the Great Blue Hole, probably Belize's most famous icon.  The town of San Pedro is the island's gateway, the location of a small airport for incoming flights from Belize City and a center for sailing and undersea exploration.

     Only a stone's throw from the ocean's edge, at the center of the resort, is a beautiful heated saline chlorinated main pool which has an upper level with an infinity edge waterfall that flows into a spacious lower level.  There is also a separate heated saline lap pool adjacent to the Pool Bar.  Saline (or salt water) pools are gentler on the skin and having the option to heat the pools helps the resort provide ideal water temperatures throughout the year.

 

     The resort's restaurant serves breakfast, lunch, and dinner in an air-conditioned main dining room and on its garden patio.  Room service is also available.  Additionally, there are a Pool Bar and Rooftop Bar that provide food and drink throughout the day, plus free painting classes, wine tastings, chocolate tastings, and a daily cocktail hour are available at the Rooftop Bar for resort guests.

 

     The resort also features an on-site spa that offers therapeutic, sports, deep tissue, and Maya abdominal massages, as well as a variety of body treatments and scrubs, along with manicures, pedicures, facials, etc..     Massages can be given in one of the spa's treatment rooms, en-suite, or poolside.

 

     Adjacent to the spa is a fitness center which contains multiple treadmills, elliptical machines, exercise bicycles, a universal weight lifting machine, dumb bells, flat benches, and additional equipment.  For more exercise options, guests can receive complimentary passes to a nearby larger gym and separate Crossfit facility.  Guests also enjoy free use of bicycles, kayaks, and paddle boards during their stay.  Complimentary Yoga classes are offered each week on the resort's outdoor rooftop patio.  Private Yoga sessions can also be arranged in this space, in your suite, or on your private veranda.

 

     In the event that you must tend to business matters at home while you are in Belize, there is a business center on site which contains multiple computers and a printer.  Guest Services is happy to assist with printing boarding passes, faxing documents, and other business services during your stay.  Also complimentary to guests are a DVD, book, and board game lending libraries.

 

     The property is less than five minutes drive from the airport on San Pedro.  Complimentary transfers are provided.
